Recently, I went away for a week and thought I had all of my Magic of Aloe daily supplies with me. Come to find out when I got there, that I was missing the most important product! I had forgotten my Intense Purifier and within 3 days, my face was a mess. It broke out, and my face was peeling and did not have that soft glow about it. NEVER again, will I go away and forget my facial security blanket. Part of your vacation planning should be making sure you have all of your Magic of Aloe products with you when you go.

Are you still in business? I have tried to call for 3 weeks. Now it sounds like your phone number is no longer your number for your business.

Are you still in business? Are you reorganizing the company under a different name? Please let me know what has happend to you. I have used your products for 30 years! My skin will never be the same.

Ladies, I suggest you write the company via their Info@ email address. I did this back in August and got a quick email plus a phone call from Paul Aloe himself. Apparently, there’s been an issue with the business transfer, and the “new owner” has disappeared, leaving us ladies w/o any face coverage! I’m going to email again to see if there’s any new news… I’m in need of the cleanser/purifier.

I am so hoping that this company will continue and thrive! There are so many of us who need this wonderful company! It’s been a part of our lives for so long!

I am in shock! I had phoned, emailed several times and finally got a email back about 2 weeks ago stating that they were transitioning in a new warehouse and to keep checking the web site. Well, i just checked the site again to order makeup. I have used aloe makeup for over 20 years and would not use anything else. Now i read that they are dropping their line of makeup. What!! This can’t be happening.

Are there still any Cosmeticians selling the products? Or have they all gone away over the years? Please let me know, I would love to be in touch with one!

I have been checking the websight for months now waiting for the Intense Purifier cleanser to be re stocked. Mine ran out in September and my skin is desperately in need of a good cleansing by a fabulous product. Please, Please, Please continue to carry the Intense Purifier cleansing creme. I have een using the collagen cleansing cream since 1982 and am also a former MOA cosmetician. Thank you

I’m with Pam – I’ve been waiting patiently since this summer for purifier, have been literally scraping the barrel of my jar, and my skin looks bad not using this everyday anymore. I just sent another email to Info@ begging for purifier. The “contact us” link is broken here – maybe us gals crashed it…??? Anyone know of any alternative product? There’s nothing new posted on their Facebook page either.
#192 | Pam Foley | December 2, 2010 7:39 pm
I have been searching for an alternative cleansing roduct and cannot find anything…My face is aging rapidly without my Intense Purifier. HELP!!! If the MOA folks are reading this Blog please let us know something.
#193 | Chris Rinaldi | December 13, 2010 8:42 am
Hi Pam, Debbie,
AGREED! I was also a former cosmetician back around 1982 (my gosh are we aging!! ha ha)… and I am desperate for other products. I found one that’s similar, but they are in the mid-west, and they don’t have quite the same formulation!
Bruce, Donna… did Mr. Aloe not give you the e-mail list with the company??? As a Marketing person… let me suggest sending us out updates via e-mail or even snail mail… it would do a great deal for all of us!!
thanks!
Chris …. purepowerwoman@hotmail.com – my e-mail address to begin you listing again!

To Pat, Chris, Pam, Debbie, Carol and Laurie: Happy Holidays to all of you. We are excited to see you on the “blog” and appreciate your interest and concern with the future of Magic of Aloe. We encourage you to call us at 484-651-5244 (allows you to bypass the 800 number). We will bring you up to date but for the time being here is the status of the Company. Please be aware that the only reason we agreed to purchase Magic of Aloe was to provide the same fine, Aloe based products that have been around for 39 years. We were not looking to buy or be in the Skin Care business but the quality is what drew us to in. Remember, Donna was a cosmetician and used the MOA product for over 25 years.
At the end of May, Paul Aloe decided to retire and he held a closeout sale of products at the MOA warehouse. He then passed on the remainder of Inventory to a firm on Long Island NY. They were to continue the ” MOA name”, not the same product formulas you were used to for decades. That enterprise failed, calls to the 800 number were not answered (608 of them); orders taken over the Internet were not filled and in mid September, Paul asked us for help.
In mid October the 800 number was transferred to us. We answered all calls given to us, shipped all orders previously taken and agreed to run the company and to eventually purchase it. The purchase took place just weeks ago on December 11. As you can see from the Website, there have been many “holes” in the product inventory. We are working very hard to replace these missing products. Why does it seem like it takes a long time? Magic of Aloe did not own the formulas for a majority of the Skin Care products; the labs that made it for MOA, did! Three of these labs went out of business last April. We have been having the original products synthesied by other labs to create the original texture, color and results. This process takes testing and time. At the close of MOA business in May, the Label making program and computer was given away. There were no 8 oz or 4 oz jars available for product. The website “passwords” were non-existent. Our access to this “blog” just became possible today. Some of the finished product we received rrom Paul was not saleable and we had to pull it from the website.
This is but a fraction of the issues were dealing with. Be assured, our goal is to produce and sell the product you were used to for decades. The good news is that we are purchasing the exact “Aloe Vera” , produced from the same plant species, quality and from the same source as has always been. This Aloe Vera is given to the our manufacturers to include in the product. CHRIS: We have a mailing list but it is not in a formatable useable condition. We have hired personnel to format but that will be in the future. PATRICIA R. The cosmetics line was by, Paul Aloe’s admission, a financial drain on the Company. Not enough was sold, quantities that he had to buy were enormous and as a result he lost money every day for years. We are keeping the Liquid Makeup and perhaps other products which we will evaluate going forward. LASTLY, we appreciate your concern and interest in the future Magic of Aloe and ask for your patience as we rebuild Magic of Aloe. Thanks, Bruce and Donna

Hello Bruce and Donna, Thank you for the updated information regarding the company. I noticed the Intense Purifier cleanser in now in stock but it says non exfoliating. Is this a different formula from the original one? If it is how has it been accepted by customers. Any feedback yet? I will wait for your response as I am anxious to order some jars. Thank you.

Hi : I know I saw a blog question regarding the Collagen Cleanser (non-sloughing) currently being offered on the site. WE should have next week both the Aloe Sloughing Cleanser and the Collagen Sloughing Cleanser. We supplied the “formula” we received from prior ownership to our “lab” for production. When completed, it did not “slough” or “exfoliate”. Prior ownership stated to us that the original product was not intended to slough but rather exfoliated thru a different process. Input from our participating customers and former cosmeticians who we solicited opinions on the product told us that they expected it to slough. We went back and have the Lab producing new product that will slough. The journey continues. The existing product is of high quality, cleanses, is slightly “thicker” in texture so less is needed for application and has beautiful texture and is non-fragrant. Of course it has the same high quality and quantity of Aloe Vera as before. Your patience is appreciated as we strive to replicate and offer equal or better quality products as offered before. Thanks for the question. We appreciate your interest. Bruce

Hi everyone Latest update on Cleansers. Donna and I visited 2 ” Labs’ in Northern New Jersey last week. In search of “sloughing” or “exfoliating” Aloe Vera Cleanser that would be acceptable to everyone. This continues to be an amazing journey. We have found a “sloughing” cleanser that would possess our Aloe Vera that “sloughs”. However, unlike the MOA cleanser, this one drys on the face quickly, more like a Masque. We’ve asked the Lab to find a way to have the product retain moisture longer while on the face. Jury is still out on this effort. The Collagen Cleanser we are now shipping was done to the original formula, same ingrediient MOA list and is slightly thicker in texture. We have shipped over 30 orders and have not heard any negative on fragrance, color, texture only the thickness which can be compensated for by using slightly less on application. Stay tune for more. PS. Noursihing Moisture Lotion arrives this week as well as the original 24/7!!! Progress is being made Thank you Bruce/ Donna.

I read this thread with interest as I am a former cosmetician and aloe lover for the past 30 years! I was given a “heads up” on the reorganization and stocked up, but I had no idea that Mr. Aloe was selling!
Thank you to Donna and Bruce for picking up the pieces and working hard to keep these fantastic products available to us.
I turned 50 in 2010 and could not imagine what my skin would look like without having used MOA for all these years and it scares me to imagine going forward without it.
I am available for trial feedback – I was part of the group who pushed for the original collagen cleanser when they changed it a while back and when I no longer experienced the wonderful daily sloughing which I credit with the “magic” in MOA.
Thank you!

Thank you Cindy: We are working hard to bring back the Magic of Aloe products that you have enjoyed over the years. The “sloughing content” of The Magic of Aloe cleansers continues to haunt us. We recently brought in a wonderful white, creamy cleansing cream, however, it will not slough. While containing the proper amount of collagen, the correct amount of Aloe Vera leaf, this product will not slough. To date we have shipped 84 containers and noone has expressed dis-satisfaction with the product. We can only surmise that there was put in the product some sort of “gum” which would slough during application. The formula does not contain any product that will produce sloughing. The Aloe Sloughing (exfoliating) Cream will slough and will be back in stock any day now. Thank you for your input. Bruce

Hi Everyone! I have been trying the Aloe Collegan cleanser for the past three weeks and love it. While my skin does not slough (and never did years ago when I tried it previously) it still looks just like it did when using the regular sloughing cleanser, the only difference I see is that my skin is a little ‘dewy’ which is awesome because I have been out of the daily moisturizer. I have been waiting for the regular sloughing cleanser to be in stock, but am now considering sticking with the collagen cleanser! Thank you Bruce and Donna for all the work you have been doing to keep this company going! I love MOA products and don’t know what I would do if they had gone away. Stacy

Hi everyone: To Stacy: Thank you for posting your comments. We really appreciate any and all input on the products. As we have told many of our loyal customers, we (Donna and I) purchase the exact same grade and quantity of Aloe Vera Gel as has always been done, from the same source. It is this product that we supply to the manufacturers that is the most important ingredient in all our products. The benefits of the Aloe Vera Gel are well documented back to Cleopatras time and it is this ingredient that makes Magic of Aloe product so wonderful for the skin. The addtion of “Collagen” in the Collagen line truly enhances the “anti-aging” characteristics of the already wonderful product. Thanks to all for your support. Bruce

I have been using Magic of Aloe products for years and one of my favorites is 24/7 Time Release. Yesterday I opened the last jar in my stockpile and panicked but after logging onto your website I am much calmer.
Thank you, thank you Donna and Bruce for buying the company and for all your hard work!
#204 | Cindy K | February 16, 2011 7:43 pm
I received my collagen cleanser and as expected the formula does not slough. This is a little hard to get used to but I have not seen any effects one way or the other. I would really love it if the sloughing version would return. During training to sell this stuff it was drilled in that to allow the products to work, removing the dead skin each day was the only way to go. Thank you for working hard to find the magic potion.
You know a couple years back Aloe changed the formula and for a while sold a simular non-sloughing cleanser. After many complaints to which they replied “it was never intended to slough” they relented and started making the old formula again.
As a lifelong customer and ex-cosmetician I would be happy to be a guinea pig and provide feedback. Thank you!
#205 | Donna and Bruce Nager | February 22, 2011 8:17 am
Thank you Cindy for your Feedback. We are continuing to work hard to find the right formulas. Prior management told me that the Collagen Cleanser was never intended to slough. This is in contradiction to many long time users and cosmeticians who support your observations. What we do know is that the current formulations and offerings to our customers contain the same high quality and quantity of Aloe Vera as always. I know because we actualy supply the Aloe to the manufacturers for inclusion in the product. We believe that we now have a Collagen Cleanser that will slough. Received it just last week. In any event, know that we are trying very hard to satisfy everyone. Bruce

Update on cleansers: We are awaiting the arrival of “new samples” from two labs that syntesized the original #101 and #170 cleansers. Samples are due on Tuesday, April 5. We are anticipating cleansers that will stay moist on the face for a long period, be fragance free, will exfoliate as previously. They will be creams, not lotions and will be light in texture. All these attributes are what we are hopeful will be in the products. Thansk ro your patience as we work daily to reproduce the original cleansers. Bruce and Donna
